KATEY BLAIRE
PRINT APPAREL DEVELOPMENT
As an Apparel Print Developer at Nike, I designed and developed prints on performance-quality knit and woven base fabrics. I worked directly with product managers, apparel designers and manufacturing vendors to produce exceptional, innovative prints for Nike's key consumers & signature athletes.
Below you'll find examples of printed products I developed. I have worked on product lines for multiple categories,
including Nike Basketball, Tennis and Nike Kids.
NIKE BASKETBALL
KD 9 "PREMIERE" COLLECTION

IN THE MEDIA:
Nike's Fall 2016 KD 9 Collection features the KD Hyperelite Tank which displays an engineered print on the front & back panel. Precise marker layout & color execution was crucial for the success of this tank, which has sold 20,000+ units since it's launch date in July, 2016.
Play video to watch Kevin Durant sport this tank in the Nike Basketball "Zoom Everywhere" commercial, which aired during the 2016 Rio Olympics.

NIKE TENNIS
2017 AUSTRALIAN OPEN SERENA SLAM DRESS

Serena Williams won her 23rd Grand Slam at the 2017 Australian Open, where she wore the Nike Premier Power Dress with engineered print featured on the back bodice and skirt. The artwork was inspired by the shapes and shadows that are cast on a tennis court.
2017 US OPEN COLLECTION

The 2017 US Open Nike tennis collection featured several engineered prints. The men's Dry Advantage Polo & women's Dry Slam Tank with geometric gradient fade was carefully designed and executed on engineered knit fabric.
The NikeCourt RF Shirt, worn on court by Roger Federer, also features a fading engineered print.

SPECIAL PROJECT: 2016 DOERNBECHER FREESTYLE COLLECTION

Every year, Nike partners with OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital to create a unique collection of apparel and footwear pieces that are specially designed by a few of the hospital patients. The collection helps raise money and awareness and gives these kids a chance to design their dream outfits. Select pieces from the 2016 collection included prints that I had a hand in developing. This was such a special, heartwarming project to be a part of.
